The New Zealand O’pen BIC Association will lead the development of our young sailors by ensuring the O’pen BIC class offers quality regional, provincial, and national competition while retaining a strong foundation of fun, adventure, and friendship among the sailors and their families.
The O’pen BIC class is growing fast and is becoming more recognised within the sailing community as a skiff alternative to the older style of dinghy for junior sailors. Our aim is not to have every kid a racer doing laps, but every IOB sailor enjoying the sport for a lifetime.
Want to develop the class at your club?
A chance to try out the boats first hand. 4 O’pen BIC’s will be available for a day of your choice and brought to your club. There will also be a representative of BIC Sport there to lend you a hand and talk you through the boats.
